The room was not ready upon our arrival, which was disappointing. The location atop a hill made it exhausting to return from the Petra Visitors Centre after a long day of walking. To add to the frustration, there was a lack of staff available during checkout, making it difficult for us to leave on time.

The rooftop terrace offers incredible views over the area, making meals a spectacular experience, especially at sunset. The owner, Ibrahim, is exceptionally friendly and provides valuable tips about the local attractions. While the location requires a short drive to the visitor center, the nearby shops are quite convenient. However, the restaurant prices felt a bit steep given the overall dining options in the area. Also, a bit more accessibility to the dining area could improve the experience.

The staff happily let my wife into the kitchen to whip up scrambled eggs for breakfast, which was a nice touch. Make sure you book a taxi in advance to avoid any hassles with opportunistic drivers on your way back from Petra.
